JOB VACANCIES

ENGLISH HUB ADMINISTRATOR

Required from 16.09.19 to 31.08.20

Scale 5 £10,862; 22 hours per week; Term Time

8.30 – 12.30 a.m. (plus 2 flexible hours per week)

Temporary for fixed term (may be extended subject to funding)

Come and be part of our National English Hub linked to The Greetland Academy Trust, one of only 32 schools nationally to be designated to deliver excellence in early language and phonics teaching in Reception and KS1.

This is a brand new key support role to provide exceptional administrative support to the Hub Manager and Strategic Lead and play a lead role in communicating with our partner schools, organising events and social media campaigns.

This role would suit someone who is not afraid of a challenge, can work within a small team of colleagues and who is passionate about government initiatives.

As the role is funded we are only able to offer a fixed term contract in the first instance but hope that funding will continue into future years.  The role will be based at The Greetland Academy but travel will be required to events across the areas.

We are looking for:

  • An experienced administrator who is proactive, calm under pressure and has a good knowledge of admin and office systems
  • A colleague who has experience of maintained systems and who can communicate with a range of colleagues within education.
  • We can offer you:
  • Opportunities to further develop your skills as a colleague through being trusted to take the initiative, develop and lead on marketing campaigns and work within a small team – where team work is so important
  • A chance to work in a calm, caring environment where children are well-behaved with a highly skilled, loyal and supportive team of staff and senior leaders

The Greetland Academy Trust  is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempted from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS (formerly CRB) from the Disclosure and Barring Service, the appropriate pre-employment checks that will include references from previous employers, confirmation of the right to work in the UK before the appointment is confirmed.

If you would like any further information about the role, please contact: a.harris@greetlandacademy.org.uk

We welcome visits to the Hub.

Please return your completed application form by email to Jayne Firth:  j.firth@greetlandacademy.org.uk or alternatively post to the trust school address: The Greetland Academy, School Street, Greetland, Halifax HX4 8JB, marking the envelope ‘FAO Jayne Firth ’.

Closing date for applications: Wednesday 14th August (12 noon)

Interviews/assessments: Thursday 5th September
