  • Miss Marsden, School Administrator

Miss Marsden joined Greetland Primary School, as it was then, in May 2005. She is the school’s administrator working in the main reception office at KS2. She oversees the day to day running of the office which can include anything from greeting guests to school, taking phone calls and putting plasters on poorly knees! She works alongside our Business Manager & Bursar doing accounts and payroll.

Before joining Greetland School, Miss Marsden worked in hospitality, training in hotel reception & management. Having two children meant she could no longer work the hours that came with that career, this led her to work in administration.

When she is not working she likes to spend time with her family and socialise with friends. Walking her dog Buddy is another way she finds to relax.

  • Ms Blackburn, Key Stage 1 Administrator

Ms Blackburn is an administrator for our school. She is based in our KS1 office and deals with parent, teacher and pupil queries and makes the arrangements for our new intake children.  At the beginning of the school day she welcomes KS1 children into breakfast club and looks after school meal and uniform orders, registers and various other duties of a busy school office.

With a background in accounts and customer service, Ms Blackburn moved into the child care sector after having her children, becoming Administrator, Treasurer then Chairperson of her local Pre-School.  Subsequently she became a qualified Nursery Nurse and the Child Protection Officer for her setting.

In 2006 Ms Blackburn began working for Greetland Academy. “I enjoy my role within the school where I am able to use my previous experience of accounts, customer service and child care in my current post.  The part of the job I enjoy most is helping parents and children with their queries and concerns.”

  • Ms Thompson, Catering Manager

Ms Thompson joined the Greetland Academy in September 2014 at the start of the expanding schools project. Before joining Greetland as our Catering Manager she worked for Bradford Council as a service development facilitator and assisted in looking after 30 primary school catering contracts for which she trained and developed employees to reach their full potential in catering.

Having spent 13 years of trekking from school to school Ms Thompson decided she would like to devote herself a single setting and successfully became our Catering Manager. She now puts all her time, energy and knowledge into producing meals for Greetland and our 3 other catering contracts.

In her spare time Ms Thompson enjoys cooking meals at home and spending quality time with her 3 children. Jake is a Stonemason, Leah is studying hard to work in Social Care and Ella works in Retail. She also has 2 granddaughters, Beau and Annabelle, and is always on standby for babysitting duties and of course, lots of cuddles!
